Construction work on the Ekwulobia flyover is now eighty percent complete, according to the Assistant Project Manager of the construction company handling the project, Engineer Omamifo Nwiwa. He shared this update during an interview with ABS Works correspondent Ngozi Obileri, who visited the site to monitor the progress and quality of the work.
Upon arrival, ABS observed that the beams of the flyover had already been cast, with reinforcement of the slab currently underway. Workers were also actively engaged in casting the foot of the bridge, signaling steady advancement toward project completion.
Engineer Nwiwa mentioned that the project is progressing ahead of schedule, crediting Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his consistent support in providing the necessary finances to ensure uninterrupted work. He also expressed gratitude to the surrounding communities, particularly Ekwulobia, for their continued support, which has been instrumental in the seamless execution of the project.
Confident in the project’s timely completion, Engineer Nwiwa assured that the flyover would be delivered before December. He expressed his satisfaction and pride in contributing to the development of Anambra State at this critical time.
