Tricycle owners and riders in Anambra State have expressed their appreciation for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s developmental strides, particularly in road construction, and have reaffirmed their support for his administration.
Speaking with ABS in Awka, the Awka Zonal Chairman of the association, Prince Collins Ozorjiofor, described Governor Soludo as a visionary leader, highlighting the nearly 500 kilometers of roads under construction across the state. He noted that tricycle operators have greatly benefited from the improved road network, which has eased their daily operations.
Prince Ozorjiofor further emphasized that the association remains fully committed to supporting the governor’s efforts. He assured that tricycle operators and owners will back the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidates in the upcoming September 28 Local Government election and will continue to support Soludo in future elections.
Mr. Elvis Okolie, President of the Joint Transporters Forum, echoed these sentiments, stating that Governor Soludo has already surpassed his predecessors in terms of road infrastructure within just three years of his administration. According to him, the newly constructed roads have reduced the frequency of repairs for tricycle operators, a major boost for their business.
Tricycle riders Mr. Christian Egbue and Mr. Joe Udeh also praised the administration, noting that the improved road network has significantly enhanced their daily operations and livelihood. They commended Governor Soludo for his focus on infrastructure, which they believe is essential for the state’s economic growth.
