Controversial social media critic and influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been released from detention following his fulfillment of bail conditions.
VDM was arraigned on Friday by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on charges of alleged impersonation, stemming from a recent viral video in which he was seen wearing a police uniform.
The court granted him bail set at N2 million, with the requirement of two sureties, each also posting an equivalent amount. Additionally, VDM was required to surrender his international passports and any other identification documents as part of his bail conditions.
This development marks a new chapter in the ongoing controversy surrounding VDM’s outspoken presence on social media.
