Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has announced his 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The team includes Nasarawa United defender Victor Collins as the only home-based player. Gabriel Osho of Auxerre will potentially make his debut for the Super Eagles after receiving his second call-up. Star striker Victor Osimhen returns to the lineup, having recovered from an injury that kept him out of recent matches.
Nigeria will first face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Thursday, November 14, before hosting Rwanda’s Amavubi four days later at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
