During a site visit by journalists to inspect the ongoing projects spearheaded by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, reactions ranged from awe to admiration as the team captured photos of the sprawling recreational facility. Many expressed eagerness for the project’s completion, envisioning it as a hub of entertainment and leisure for Ndi Anambra.
Prominent stakeholders in Awka, including Chief Obi Ochije-Modilim and Chief Samuel Nwofor, lauded the governor’s developmental strides in the state capital. They highlighted the transformative projects reshaping the city, such as:
– The new Government House construction,
– A Five-Star Hotel nearing completion,
– Eight newly completed roads in Agulu Awka,
– The completion of a significant erosion control project in Agulu Awka,
– Over 14 kilometers of roads in Iyiagu Agu Awka,
– The Gody Ibekwe road,
– Obi-Okoli-Y Junction-Isuanaiocha road,
– Ongoing reconstruction of the INEC-Dr. Alex Ekwueme-New Government House road.
These projects, they noted, have given Awka a facelift, making it more befitting as the state capital.
