Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has urged the people of Anambra State to join forces in tackling the growing insecurity in the state.
The governor made this appeal during a statewide broadcast from the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, addressing critical security challenges confronting the state.
Highlighting his administration’s commitment to security, law, and order, Soludo emphasized that safeguarding lives and property remains central to his government’s vision. He recounted the dire security situation at the beginning of his tenure, with eight local government areas under siege, but commended the collective efforts that led to their liberation.
“At the onset of our administration, we faced a grim security crisis. Today, we have made significant strides, but much work remains to be done,” he stated.
Governor Soludo, reaffirming the sanctity of life, assured residents of a robust security initiative set to launch in January 2025, with plans to triple efforts to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities.
The governor’s call to action underscores the need for collective vigilance and collaboration to restore lasting peace across Anambra State.
