Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, joined the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and his family in a thanksgiving service to honor God’s faithfulness.
The service took place at the Cathedral Church of St. James the Great, Atani, in Ogbaru Local Government Area, drawing a gathering of dignitaries and community members.
Governor Soludo highlighted the importance of gratitude and reflection, urging attendees to celebrate life and God’s blessings. “This gathering reminds us to embrace grace and gratitude, rejoicing in the gift of life and God’s enduring mercy,” he said.
Speaker Udeze, in his remarks, expressed deep gratitude for God’s manifold blessings on his family and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to fostering Anambra’s progress. He pledged unwavering support for the state government’s developmental agenda.
In his sermon, Rt. Rev. Samuel Ezeofor, Bishop of the Aguata Anglican Diocese, called on Christians to maintain an attitude of gratitude, irrespective of personal or communal challenges. He emphasized thanksgiving as God’s will for His people.
The Bishop of the Ogbaru Diocese, Rt. Reverend Prosper Amah, presided over the ceremony, which was marked by prayers, hymns, and testimonies of divine goodness.
