Police operatives in Anambra State have recovered the vehicle belonging to Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North Constituency. The lawmaker was kidnapped on December 24, 2024, around 9:20 pm along Ugwunapampa Road, Onitsha, by unidentified individuals.
The vehicle was found abandoned at Upper Iweka Road by a rescue team attached to the Inland Town Division during an ongoing operation.
Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has urged the deployed rescue team to redouble their efforts to ensure the safe recovery of the lawmaker.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, assured the public that updates on the situation would be communicated as investigations and operations continue.
