The Women Academic Doctors of Adazi-Nnukwu (WADAN) Community Foundation has been officially inaugurated in Adazi-Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The event, held at the Adazi-Nnukwu Town Hall, was chaired by Professor Ken Nwogu, who praised the foundation as an innovative initiative designed to mentor young girls for future leadership roles. He encouraged the girls to strive for excellence in learning and character, emphasizing their critical role as the foundation of society.
In her keynote address, the founder of WADAN, Dr. Scholastica Iloghalu, highlighted the foundation’s mission to empower young girls through mentorship, education, and community engagement. She stressed its focus on fostering leadership, character development, and social responsibility among participants.
Supporting speakers, including Dr. Ify Iloghalu and Mr. Emeka Iloghalu, underscored the importance of educating the girl child for societal progress and equity. They expressed optimism that WADAN’s efforts would nurture well-rounded young women capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
