The newly constructed St. Charles Galaxy Hospital, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility with over 100 beds, has officially commenced operations in Ichida community, Anambra State. Built by the community and equipped by the state government, the hospital aims to enhance healthcare delivery in the area.
While commissioning the facility, Governor Chukwuma Soludo reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing essential services such as health and education. He commended the Ichida community for prioritizing investments in healthcare, describing the initiative as a testament to their dedication to humanity.
The hospital manager, Rev. Fr. Augustine Igwebuike, outlined the facility’s mission to deliver efficient healthcare services and reduce mortality rates across Ichida and neighboring communities.
Earlier, the Bishop of Awka Catholic Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, blessed and dedicated the hospital, praying for its successful operations.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, community stakeholders, and members of the clergy. It also featured a free medical outreach, offering healthcare services to residents of the community.
The establishment of St. Charles Galaxy Hospital marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to improve access to quality healthcare.
