Popular Nigerian radio personality Chinedu Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has officially stepped down as a host of *The Honest Bunch Podcast*. His decision comes amid ongoing controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.
The controversy erupted after reality TV star Deeone appeared on the podcast and alleged that Verydarkman had an interest in men. Rather than addressing the claim directly, Verydarkman redirected the discussion towards Nedu, making allegations about his private life and past relationships.
As the situation gained traction, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to announce his departure from the podcast, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.
In his official statement, he acknowledged the impact of *The Honest Bunch Podcast* but admitted that the intense scrutiny and accusations had taken a personal toll.
“In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast. This is not a decision I take lightly, but one I believe is necessary—for my peace of mind, for my family, and for the integrity of the show itself,” Nedu wrote.
He expressed hope that his departure would put an end to the negativity surrounding his name and allow the podcast to continue thriving.
Founded by Glitch Africa in 2022, *The Honest Bunch Podcast* features four main hosts: Nedu, Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne. It remains to be seen how the show will evolve in Nedu’s absence.
