Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has expressed confidence in the Cottagers’ push for European football next season.
Marco Silva’s side, which finished 10th and 13th in the last two Premier League seasons, currently sits eighth after 25 games and is just four points away from the UEFA Champions League spots.
Following their 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest, Iwobi believes Fulham can maintain their strong form and challenge for European qualification.
“To do the double over big teams will give us an advantage, but we always take it game by game. It doesn’t matter if the other team is challenging for European spots or in the relegation zone, we’ll treat everyone with the same respect,” Iwobi said.
The Nigerian international credited head coach Marco Silva for his tactical approach and dedication to improving the squad.
“He’s somebody that puts 100 percent into his job every day. Even after a game, while we’re celebrating, he’s still on his laptop analyzing. That rubs off on the players,” Iwobi told *The Mirror*.
With key wins, including a double over Newcastle United this season, Fulham remains optimistic about securing a European spot as the campaign progresses.
