Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration has been described as unprecedented by Professor Steve Ufoaro, a Computer and Control Engineering expert at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
In an interview at his office, Professor Ufoaro commended Soludo for delivering the dividends of democracy without borrowing, citing achievements such as road infrastructure, teacher employment, the new Government House and Lodge, Solution Fun City, the Homeland Security Law, and free education and healthcare. He urged other governors to emulate Soludo’s prudent management of resources.
As the President General of Ifitedunu community, Professor Ufoaro expressed satisfaction with the governor’s impact, highlighting the posting of eleven teachers to the community’s schools and ongoing road construction projects.
He also urged Soludo to further integrate the “1 Youth 2 Skills” initiative at the community level, suggesting that local contributions could help provide startup funds for trained youths. He praised the program for reducing unemployment and taking many youths off the streets.
Professor Ufoaro believes that if given eight years, Soludo could achieve his vision of transforming Anambra into a “Dubai-Taiwan” model. He also called for stricter regulation of private schools, particularly to address concerns over “miracle centers” in the state.
