The APGA Apostles Forum (AAF) national and state leaderships have inaugurated the Oyi chapter of the forum in an elaborate event held at the Oyi APGA Secretariat, Nteje, yesterday, June 13, 2024.
In his welcome remarks, the Coordinator of AAF in Oyi, Chidiebele Obika thanked the national convener of AAF, Chief Anthony Nchekwube Dunga and others for finding time out of their busy schedules to visit the LGA and inaugurate the LGA exco and Ward coordinators.
He informed that Oyi LGA is APGA going by the fact that they’ve been winning elections for the party and it’s candidates.
Said he, ” Here is APGA. Oyi is APGA. We win elections for the APGA always. Last year general elections, Oyi delivered Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly elections respectively. And I make bold to say that our current House of Representatives Member for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon. Lady Maureen Gwacham is the best so far in Anambra state and same with the Oyi House of Assembly Member, Hon. Dr. Sir Innocent Ojike (Ojicam).
Obika buttressed his points by stressing that Hon. Gwacham is among the most active members of the present House of Representatives with a good number of motions and bills to her credit. He pointed out that Mrs Gwacham moved a motion in the floor of the house and items worth of N300m was given to Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency by National Emergency Management Agency, dug boreholes, renovated classrooms, granted seed monies to indigent women to startup businesses and so many others.
On the other hand, he noted that Hon. Ojike is the best so far in the Anambra state House of Assembly as he is the only member that commenced building of constituency projects across the communities in the LGA even before they were inaugurated last year. Obika stated that Ojicam equally hired Ndi Oyi to work in his factory at Awkuzu, distributed over 10 shuttle buses, pays the elderly persons every month, constructed perimeter fence in select schools across the LGA and so many others.
Moreover, Obika assured the guests that Ndi Oyi cannot trade APGA for anything and that winning of second term election for the performing Governor of Anambra state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo is paramount and that they are mobilising to achieve it.
He used the opportunity to announce the re-entrance of some former APGA members in Oyi LGA who left before but were back now. Some of them include, Hon. Engr. Sunday Nnalue and six persons from five wards in Oyi LGA.
The Convener of APGA Apostles Forum, Hon. Anthony Nchekwube Dunga while speaking at the occasion commended Ndi Oyi for always winning elections for the party and it’s candidates. He noted that AAF was created to support the good works of APGA leaderships and Governor of Anambra state, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
” We also took the opportunity to sensitize our people on the ongoing digital membership registration of APGA faithful across the State.
I was delighted to have on ground to receive us, Hon. Mrs Maureen Gwacham (Ada Zion), the House Member representative Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, the Member representing Oyi State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Sir Innocent Ojike (Ojicam), the Chairman of APGA in Oyi LGA, Chief Harold Umunna Maduka (Mighty Haha), a philanthropist and APGA stalwart in Oyi LGA, Chief Ifeanyi Anachunam (Ezeomeogo), and a host of other powerful APGA stakeholders of Oyi LGA.”
” We shall continue to ring the bell of the tenets and ideas of the party, most especially the DRIVE_APGA Agenda of the APGA National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa across Anambra State in particular and Nigeria at large”, Chief Dunga said.
Earlier, oath of allegiance and Oath of office were administered on the LGA executives and ward coordinators of the chapter by a national officer of the forum, Hon. Emeka Ozumba.

Uchenna Oraegbunam (CIC), Oyi House of Assembly Member, Hon. Dr Sir Innocent Ojike Ojicam, represented by Hon. Onochie Mkpuechina, Chief Ifeanyi Anachunam Ezeomeogo, Oyi APGA LGA Chairman, Hon. Harold Umunna Maduka represented by Hon. Leo Oforkansi and many others were highlights of the ceremony.
