Adele Shares Personal Struggles with Gender and Sexuality During Munich Show

English songstress Adele has opened up about her mental battle with gender and sexuality. Despite identifying as a straight woman, the multiple Grammy-winning singer revealed she often feels like “a gay man.”

Addressing the crowd during her recent sold-out show in Munich, Germany, the 36-year-old said, “I often think I’m a gay man trapped in a straight woman’s body.”

Adele also announced in an interview with German broadcaster ZDF that she plans to take a break from music to explore new creative pursuits after the final leg of her ongoing tour concludes in November.
