Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has tied the knot with Chioma Rowland, an Igbo woman from Imo State, on Tuesday.
In an Instagram live session with music executive Ubi Franklin shortly after the wedding, Davido remarked on the challenges of marrying an Igbo woman. “E no easy. E no easy to marry Igbo woman. Igbo woman, e no easy,” he stated, without elaborating further.
During the wedding ceremony, Davido assured Chioma’s parents that he would protect and respect their daughter throughout their marriage. The singer, known for his hit song “Assurance,” promised Chioma “a lifetime assurance.”
The wedding has been a major highlight, with fans and well-wishers celebrating the union of the popular couple.
