Stakeholders of Aguleri community in Anambra East Local Government Area have emphasized that choosing forgiveness is not an act of cowardice but a deliberate decision to uphold peace and protect human lives.
This reassurance came during a press briefing where the community leaders urged Aguleri youths to foster a harmonious relationship with their Anam neighbors. They also assured the Anambra State Government of their commitment to maintaining lasting peace.
The stakeholders, including Presidents General, Traditional Rulers, village and kindred heads, and other opinion leaders, reiterated Aguleri’s dedication to peaceful coexistence. Barr. Ifeanyi Iloakasia and Mr. Ignatius Nwabude, Presidents General of Aguleri and Eziaguluotu Aguleri, respectively, reaffirmed that the community values human life and will not engage in conflicts that could hinder Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s developmental initiatives.
They encouraged the youths to embrace unity and focus on their businesses while commending security agencies for swiftly addressing the January 25, 2025, incident. They assured that such occurrences would not repeat as Aguleri seeks to attract investors and foster economic growth.
Traditional rulers, Igwe Dr. Mike Idigo of Aguleri and Igwe Lawrence Nwofia of Eziaguluotu Aguleri, also expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for his developmental efforts, pledging the community’s continued commitment to sustaining peace and stability.
