Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has assured fans that the team will give their all to secure a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup despite a shaky start to their qualifying campaign.

Speaking to the *BBC*, Iwobi emphasized the team’s determination and motivation to compete at the world’s biggest football tournament.
“Everyone wants to experience the World Cup—it’s the best and biggest competition in the world,” Iwobi stated. “We know it’s not going to be easy because every team in Africa wants to qualify. It’s basically like going to war every game, but we’ll put up a fight and try and see what we can do. We’re all hungry and motivated.”
The Super Eagles face a challenging road ahead as they seek to reclaim their status as one of Africa’s footballing powerhouses and secure a place at the 2026 World Cup.
