Anambra Assembly Committee Pledges Legislative Support for JAAC to Boost State Development

The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters has assured the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) of its full legislative support to help drive Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of making Anambra a center of prosperity and development.

During a familiarization visit to the JAAC office at Government House, Awka, Committee Chairman Honourable Patrick Udoba, representing Anambra West Constituency, emphasized the importance of collaboration rather than scrutiny. He pledged the Assembly’s commitment to addressing JAAC’s challenges and providing the necessary legislative support to ensure smooth operations.

Honourable Udoba was joined by other lawmakers, including Majority Leader Sir Ikenna Ofodeme (Ekwusigo Constituency), Honourable Noble Igwe (Ogbaru Constituency One), and Engineer Emma Nwafor (Orumba South Constituency). The legislators encouraged JAAC to seek legislative assistance when needed, promising to support the committee’s efforts.

In response, Dr. Nneoma Mmuogbo, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Finance and Secretary of JAAC, expressed her gratitude for the visit. She assured the Assembly of JAAC’s commitment to working closely with lawmakers to enhance efficiency and effectively manage the state’s financial resources for local government administration, aligning with the Governor’s development agenda for Anambra State.
