The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has expressed deep concern over the escape of two suspects involved in the murder of late Hon. “The State House of Assembly deeply regrets this development, which casts a shadow over the progress made in this case. Hon. Justice Azuka’s death will not be in vain, and we are committed to ensuring that those responsible face the full wrath of the law,” the Speaker stated.
The late Hon. Justice Azuka was a respected figure in Onitsha One State Constituency, and his murder has sparked widespread outrage. The Anambra State House of Assembly has vowed to support the police in their efforts to ensure justice is served.
The Speaker’s statement underscores the Assembly’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that criminal elements are held accountable for their actions. The public is urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing any information that could lead to the re-arrest of the suspects.
