The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has cautioned contractors and consultants handling state projects to strictly adhere to specifications, warning that any compromise on quality will not be tolerated.
During a bilateral meeting involving the committee, the Ministry of Works, project consultants, and contractors, Committee Chairman and Orumba South representative, Engr. Emma Nwafor, stressed the need for proactive measures to ensure timely and proper project execution.
He recalled that previous oversight inspections had uncovered lapses in project execution and warned that any recurrence could lead to contract termination.
Engr. Nwafor reaffirmed Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure for the benefit of Anambra residents. He urged the Ministry of Works and project consultants to intensify supervision and prevent contractors from cutting corners.
