The new Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Mr. Christopher Molokwu, has emphasized the urgent need to revitalize the station to align with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision for the state. He stated that ABS must play a critical role in driving government programs and policies to the people of Anambra, both at home and abroad.
Mr. Molokwu made these remarks during an inspection of the various departments and units of ABS, shortly after assuming office. He noted that the station has the potential to compete on a global scale and called on the management, staff, and stakeholders to collaborate in transforming ABS into a leading media brand in West Africa.
Highlighting Governor Soludo’s commitment to the station, Molokwu said the governor’s plans for ABS underscore its importance in reaching Ndi Anambra worldwide and showcasing the state’s economic and investment opportunities to a global audience.
Molokwu also stressed the need for a motivated workforce, vowing to enrich ABS with content that will position it as the top media destination for its audience. The inspection tour was attended by members of the management team and senior staff of ABS.
