Anambra Caucus of the House of Representatives Visits Soludo, Commends His Revolutionary Work, Seeks Greater Partnership

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, recently welcomed the Anambra Caucus of the House of Representatives at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia. The delegation was led by Hon. Victor Afam Ogene, who represents the Ogbaru Federal Constituency.

Hon. Ogene commended Governor Soludo for his remarkable developmental achievements across various sectors in Anambra State, including infrastructure, health, and education. The delegation specifically praised the Governor’s commitment to constructing a new Anambra Government House and lodge, a project abandoned for thirty-three years.

The representatives expressed their readiness to collaborate on projects that would benefit the people of Anambra and lauded the Governor for the extensive regeneration efforts in Anambra House, Abuja. Hon. Chinwe Gwacham highlighted the Governor’s inclusive administration, noting his significant appointments of women. Hon. Lilian Obiageli Orogbu and Princess Chinwe Nnabuife echoed this sentiment, pointing out that Anambra has three female members out of fourteen in the House of Representatives, reflecting the Governor’s support for gender balance.

The delegation unanimously agreed that Governor Soludo’s performance has been exceptional and predicted his overwhelming return based on his accomplishments. Dr. Paschal Agbodike, representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, urged his colleagues to attract at least one capital project to the state. The members expressed gratitude for the ongoing projects in their constituencies, including the completed Mmiata road project, and requested further developments.

In response, Governor Soludo thanked the delegation for the visit and recalled a similar meeting with the previous assembly before his inauguration. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in rebuilding Anambra, assuring continued strategic partnerships, especially in infrastructure and development. The Governor reiterated the state’s motto: “one people, one state, one agenda.”

The delegation included Hon. Peter Aniekwe (Anambra East/West), Hon. Lilian Obiageli Orogbu (Awka North/South), Hon. Dr. Paschal Agbodike (Ihiala), Hon. Peter Uzokwe (Nnewi North/South/Ekwusigo), Hon. Emeka Idu Obiajulu (Onitsha North/South), Hon. Chinwe Clara Nnabuife (Orumba North/South), Hon. Maureen Chinwe Gwacham (Oyi/Anyamelum), and Hon. Dominic Henry Okafor (Aguata).
