The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has urged members of the Soludo Support Group to promote Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s achievements to Ndi Anambra as part of his re-election campaign.
This call to action was made during the launch of the group’s “You Need To Know” campaign and membership verification, along with the unveiling of their new uniform at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre in Awka.
Dr. Ibezim highlighted the group’s consistent support since its inception in 2019, which has contributed to significant advancements in governance within the state. He emphasized that Governor Soludo’s achievements over the past two years surpass those of his predecessors, noting the construction of over 450 kilometers of roads, the employment of more than 8,000 teachers, improvements to primary healthcare centers and general hospitals, free deliveries for pregnant women, and the ongoing construction of a flyover at Ekwulobia.
National Convener and Coordinator of the Soludo Support Group, Chief Chinedu Nwoye, elaborated on the campaign strategy, which includes grassroots mobilization and door-to-door efforts to inform the public of the Governor’s accomplishments. Chief Nwoye also noted the group’s initiative to revalidate its membership register.
The event featured the unveiling of the group’s new uniform by the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, who encouraged group members and government officials to raise awareness about Governor Soludo’s projects.
Chief Obi Ochije-Modilim, the Group Coordinator in Anambra Central, expressed satisfaction with the group’s progress since its formation in 2019, pledging to continue promoting Governor Soludo’s achievements to ensure his re-election.
State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, and Chief John Metchie, represented by Barrister Titus Akpudo, praised the Soludo Support Group as a leading force in Anambra’s political landscape, urging them to attract more members.
Chief Basil Osuokwu, Chairman of the group’s Board of Trustees, advised members to stay true to their mandate, expressing confidence in Governor Soludo’s re-election given his remarkable performance in office.
