Anambra First Lady Celebrates Birthday with Philanthropy

Anambra Governor’s wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, emphasized the importance of impactful deeds in celebrating life during her 54th birthday event in Awka. She underscored that each phase of her life reflects God’s immense grace, deserving of celebration through acts of kindness and gratitude.

At the ceremony, Mrs. Soludo provided food and medical checkups to about 5,000 less privileged individuals, including widows and widowers. Recipients received bags of rice, beans, gallons of oil, and wheelchairs. Mrs. Soludo pledged to continue using her influence to drive social change.

Highlighting the essence of love and friendship, Mrs. Soludo encouraged others to adopt these values to foster a harmonious society. She also advocated for household gardens, promoting organic agriculture as a solution to current food crises and health challenges.

In their goodwill messages, Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South, Mrs. Amaka Obi, and Executive Chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, praised Mrs. Soludo’s kindness, humility, and selflessness. They extended their prayers for her continued blessings and grace.

Mrs. Soludo also distributed 1,000 packs of hybrid seeds to support her ongoing free seeds program and garden campaign.

The event was attended by Anambra’s Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, and APGA Women Leader, Mrs. Esther Onyekesi, among others.
