Anambra First Lady Exceeds Target in Free Organic Seeds Distribution Initiative

The First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has surpassed her initial target of 1,000 beneficiaries in her ongoing free organic seeds distribution program.

According to a recent update on Mrs. Soludo’s verified social media accounts, an additional 311 beneficiaries have been added, bringing the total number to 1,212.

This latest addition, part of the seventh batch of the initiative, marks the highest number of beneficiaries since the program began in early July 2024. Originally intended to benefit 500 individuals, the program was launched on July 4, 2024, to celebrate Mrs. Soludo’s 54th birthday on July 31.

Mrs. Soludo, who also founded the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, announced that winners would be revealed on her social media platforms and other affiliated channels every weekend until the end of July. However, the initiative has now extended into August.

With growing interest from the public, Mrs. Soludo decided to expand the original number of beneficiaries. She emphasized that witnessing the success of each garden in the benefiting households would be her greatest birthday celebration and urged participants to approach the task with dedication.

On July 16, Mrs. Soludo announced an extension of the program’s deadline to accommodate the increasing interest. Notably, she is the first and only First Lady in Nigeria to implement such a program on this scale.
