The Anambra State Government has organized a one-day workshop for science teachers in public, mission, and private primary and secondary schools across the state.
The workshop, held simultaneously in the six education zones, was organized through the Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC) to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to improve science education.
Addressing participants at Igwebuike Grammar School, Awka, the Chairman of PPSSC, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, urged teachers to make judicious use of science equipment distributed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo to enhance teaching and learning. She described teachers as the backbone of the education system, playing a key role in shaping the minds of future leaders.
Professor Ikediugwu expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for prioritizing education and providing science laboratory equipment. She emphasized that science literacy is essential for success in today’s interconnected world and encouraged teachers to ask questions and seek clarifications during the workshop.
