Anambra Information Commissioner, Mefor, Visits ABS Headquarters to Strengthen Digital Communication Strategy

The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, has paid a working visit to the corporate headquarters of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) in Awka. Accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Barrister Onyekwelu Adirika, and other top officials, the Commissioner was received by ABS Managing Director, Mr. Christopher Molokwu, along with the station’s management team.

During the visit, Dr. Mefor highlighted the importance of leveraging digital platforms to better connect with Anambra’s diverse audience. He underscored the need to effectively communicate the state government’s significant infrastructural developments and programs to the public.

In response, Mr. Molokwu assured the Commissioner that ABS is undergoing a transformation aimed at serving the people of Anambra more efficiently. He noted that the station is focused on expanding its digital presence to deliver news, programs, and content that highlight the state’s progress and achievements.

Key ABS officials, including Barrister Juliet Amasiatu (Director of Legal Services), Lady Uju Ifediba (Director of Commercial Services), Mrs. Judy Jeff-Nwabueze (Director of News and Current Affairs), and Lady Tina Ekenta (Director of Administration), were also present during the meeting, which included a facility tour of the ABS premises.
