The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the Awgbu-Amaetiti-Okpeze-Ndiukwuenu road, describing it as a crucial investment in the state’s infrastructure.
Committee Chairman and representative of Orumba South Constituency, Engr. Emma Nwafor, made the remarks during an inspection visit to assess the project’s progress. He noted that the 16-kilometer road would significantly improve connectivity and boost socio-economic activities in the area. The lawmakers observed that heavy-duty machines were actively engaged at different sections of the site, indicating steady progress.
Engr. Nwafor urged the contractors to maintain high-quality standards and adhere to the agreed timeline for the project’s completion.
Responding, the Project Engineer, Charles Akpan, assured the lawmakers of the construction firm’s commitment to delivering a durable and well-executed road, highlighting that substantial progress had already been made in some sections.
