Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, including opposition lawmakers, have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Chukwuma Soludo, applauding his developmental initiatives across the state.
The motion, moved during the plenary session by Engr. Emma Nwafor, representing Orumba South Constituency, highlighted the governor’s achievements in infrastructure, governance, and service delivery.
Engr. Nwafor noted that Governor Soludo has awarded 746km of roads, with 426km already completed, alongside drainage networks, seven bridges, and two major flyovers. He also acknowledged the commencement of the long-anticipated Government House and Government Lodge projects, ending a 34-year delay.
Minority Leader Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi praised the governor’s performance, stating that Soludo’s impact on Anambra has been remarkable and expressing openness to joining the majority party due to his impressive governance.
Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, commended the lawmakers for their confidence in the governor, describing the vote as a reflection of Soludo’s transformative leadership in the state.
