The Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) has released the final list of qualified candidates ahead of the upcoming local government election scheduled for September 28, 2024.
Speaking at the ANSIEC headquarters in Awka, the Commission’s Chairman, Magistrate Genevieve Osakwe, urged the approved candidates to begin their campaigns and encouraged the electorate to actively participate by voting for their preferred candidates on election day.
Magistrate Osakwe noted that the list is available for public viewing, inviting the public to visit the ANSIEC headquarters or any of the 21 local government areas to verify the candidates contesting for various positions. She assured Ndi Anambra that the election will be conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner.
