The Anambra State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the alleged murder of Mr. Fabian Osita Chinedu, a staff member of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Mr. Chinedu was reportedly shot by unidentified gunmen at Aroma Junction on December 16, 2024, around 10:10 p.m. The assailants also fled with his vehicle, a 2006 Toyota Corolla, ash in color, with the Enugu registration number *UWN 158 AS*.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command expressed condolences to the victim’s family, friends, and the university community.
The Command has appealed to members of the public for any information that could assist in the investigation. It has also urged anyone who might have seen the stolen vehicle or a similar abandoned car to report it to the nearest police station or contact the Command via the following numbers:
