The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s performance, describing it as “super excellent.”
Speaking at a press conference at the state legislative complex in Awka, Udeze said that Soludo’s inaugural speech signaled his commitment to transforming Anambra. He noted that the governor has maintained a high level of dedication, working tirelessly to change the state’s narrative.
“In my 26 years of involvement in Anambra politics and governance, what Governor Soludo is doing is remarkable. He has chosen the path of delivering on the expectations of the people. For the first time, tax revenues are visibly working for Ndi Anambra, and his policies are directly impacting the underprivileged,” Udeze stated.
Highlighting Soludo’s achievements, the Speaker pointed out that his administration has prioritized infrastructure, security, and governance reforms. He added that he personally inspected projects across the state rather than relying solely on committee reports.
“The new government house and governor’s lodge are near completion, and the House of Assembly is also undergoing infrastructural improvements. By all standards, the direction Governor Soludo is taking is commendable, and key stakeholders are aligning with his vision,” he said.
Udeze further described Soludo as a visionary leader who has instilled a unified agenda among members of the 8th Assembly. He expressed confidence that the governor’s performance would secure him a second term.
“Governor Soludo has done well, and many stakeholders believe in his leadership. Come November 8, 2025, Ndi Anambra will speak with one voice by re-electing him,” the Speaker concluded.
