The inspection team of Anambra State’s “1 Youth 2 Skills” program, led by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, has carried out a routine assessment of training centers across Nnewi South Local Government Area.
The inspection team, comprising Mr. Agha Mba and senior management officials, visited centers in Amaechi, Azigbo, Osumenyi, Utuh, Ukpor, and Ekwulumiri, among others. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the progress of the state-sponsored youth program and ensure adherence to the program’s rules and standards.
Addressing the trainees, Mr. Agha Mba emphasized that the “1 Youth 2 Skills” initiative is designed to foster community development through an apprenticeship-based model. “This monitoring exercise is essential to ensure compliance and to track the progress being made at each center,” he explained.
He urged the Master Trainers and trainees to remain committed to their roles, stressing that their dedication is key to the program’s success. Mr. Agha Mba also highlighted the state government’s dedication to empowering unemployed youth, encouraging them to develop valuable skills and contribute meaningfully to society.
The commissioner praised the trainers for their role in driving the program and encouraged the trainees to stay motivated throughout their training. Uchenna Nduka, one of the trainees, expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for the opportunity and pledged support for his second term.
Several trainees shared their appreciation for the initiative, thanking the Anambra State Government and the Ministry of Youth for empowering them with skills through the “1 Youth 2 Skills” program and promising not to let the government down.
