Anambra State Government Dissolves Old Mercedes Spare Parts Dealers Committee, Appoints New Leadership

The Anambra State Government has dissolved the caretaker committee of the Old Mercedes Spare Parts Dealers Association, Amafor-Nkpor-Agu, Idemili North LGA, following the expiration of their tenure in August 2022. The dissolution was announced by the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Market.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo commended the outgoing committee, led by Mr. Okonkwo Sunday, for maintaining peace and harmony in the market during their tenure. He directed the former chairman to hand over the affairs of the market to the newly appointed committee chairman, Mr. Martin Ezeokeke, within seven days, starting from September 2, 2024.

Governor Soludo tasked the new leadership with ensuring effective administration and improving the collection of government revenue from the market.

The new 12-member committee is headed by Mr. Martin Ezeokeke as Chairman, with Mr. Nnamdi Ikwuazom as Vice Chairman. Other members include Afah Byron Chigozie (Secretary), Daniel Nwaokeke (Assistant Secretary), Maduka Egolum (Financial Secretary), Christian Okoye (Treasurer), and Hyacinth Nnaji (PRO). Additional members are Cosmas Umenze (Provost 1), Emeka Omekantinu (Provost 2), James Okoli (Member), Sunday Muobike (Member), and Oluchukwu Okoli (Member).
