In a decisive move to uphold healthcare standards and eliminate unprofessional practices, the Anambra State Ministry of Health has closed down the AtPeace Neuro-Psychological Centre in Awka.
Following Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to eradicating healthcare quackery in the state, the shutdown of the facility aligns with the administration’s mandate to safeguard the well-being of its citizens.
Addressing the press after the operation, Dr. Ugochukwu Chukwulobelu, the Director of Medical Services for Anambra State, emphasized the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards quackery in healthcare. He expressed disappointment that the alleged owner of the facility lacked the necessary qualifications, underscoring the importance for residents to scrutinize healthcare providers before seeking treatment.
Dr. Chukwulobelu affirmed the ministry’s dedication to enforcing regulations and shutting down illegal medical establishments to ensure that Anambra residents have access to certified and qualified healthcare facilities.
