Anambra State Takes a Stand Against Gender-Based Violence

The Anambra State chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) recently joined the global campaign to combat gender-based violence. In collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare and the Anambra State Police Command, NAWOJ actively participated in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

The campaign, which ran from November 25 to December 10, focused on raising awareness and promoting action against this pervasive issue. Various programs, including conferences, press briefings, and sensitization visits, were organized to educate women about the different forms of gender-based violence and empower them to seek justice.
