Anambra State Youth Skills Workshop Expands to All 21 LGAs

The administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo has expanded the Value Re-Orientation Workshop for the second batch of the “One Youth Two Skills Solution” program across all 21 local government areas of Anambra State.

The workshop, which took place simultaneously in various LGAs including Awka South, Awka North, Aguata, Onitsha North and South, Nnewi North and South, is aimed at equipping participants with essential skills and values. This initiative follows the training of 620 master trainers in a previous phase.

With the theme “Setting the Right Values for a Prosperous Homeland,” the workshop is designed to instill the knowledge necessary for trainees to succeed. According to the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, who oversaw the training sessions, the program underscores the state’s focus on human capital development, which is central to Governor Soludo’s vision for a prosperous Anambra.

Mr. Agha Mba emphasized the government’s commitment to creating opportunities for the youth, preparing them with skills that are both employable and exportable. He encouraged the 8,620 trainees, selected from over 200,000 applicants, to stay dedicated and make the most of the opportunity.

Local government officials also lauded the governor’s efforts to empower the youth, urging participants to remain focused and strive for excellence. Several trainees expressed their appreciation for the program and committed to engaging fully in the training.

The second batch of the program is expected to have an even greater impact than the first, given the comprehensive plans for its execution.
