Anambra West Local Government Set to Harness Solar Power Independence

Anambra West Local Government Area is poised to embrace energy autonomy with plans underway to establish an independent solar power plant within the region, according to revelations made by Mr. Felix Ikechi, the Transition Committee Chairman of the local government.

During a strategic engagement with Traditional Rulers and Presidents Generals at the Local Council Secretariat in Nzam, Mr. Ikechi unveiled the forthcoming initiative, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize energy accessibility in Anambra West.

Anticipated to kick off imminently, the solar power plant aims to provide a reliable and sustainable electricity source to the residents of Anambra West, thereby enhancing their quality of life and stimulating economic growth in the area.

Mr. Ikechi underscored the local government’s commitment to addressing the prevalent power challenges faced by the community, asserting that the installation of an independent solar power plant aligns with this objective.

Highlighting the anticipated benefits, he envisaged improved living standards, expanded business opportunities, and overall prosperity for the residents of Anambra West once the dedicated power source becomes operational.

In acknowledging the support of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Ikechi praised the governor’s dedication to advancing the development agenda of Anambra West through a series of impactful projects and initiatives.

Enumerating some of Governor Soludo’s notable achievements, including the recently completed Mmiata Anam-Nzam road project and infrastructure upgrades in healthcare and education facilities, Mr. Ikechi affirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of Anambra West residents.

Echoing Mr. Ikechi’s sentiments, Igwe Pius Omachonu, representing Anambra West Traditional Rulers Council, expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for fulfilling his promises to the people of Anambra West and pledged continued support for the governor’s administration.
