Awka, Anambra State – A delegation of Anglican bishops led by Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, Archbishop of the Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, has expressed full support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration following an inspection of his government’s development projects.
The group began its visit at Solution Fun City, a new recreational complex aimed at boosting tourism and stimulating economic growth. Governor Soludo greeted the bishops and outlined how the facility will create jobs and serve as a family entertainment hub, noting that state finances have been stabilised under his leadership.
The delegation then moved to Alex Ekwueme Square, the Government House, and the Governor’s Lodge for discussions on strengthening partnerships between faith-based organisations and the state government. Topics included collaborative strategies to tackle poverty, improve education and healthcare, and expand community development efforts.
Most Rev. Ibezim commended the governor’s commitment to transparency and accountability, and pledged the church’s assistance in mobilising congregations behind sustainable development initiatives. The visit concluded with a joint prayer for peace, unity, and the continued success of Governor Soludo’s administration.
