The Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairmen expressed their unwavering support for the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, during a solidarity visit to the party’s secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.
A delegation comprising 37 state chairmen endorsed Ganduje, affirming their allegiance to his leadership amidst recent controversies surrounding his purported suspension by his ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
Addressing the audience, Cornelius Ojelabi, the acting chairman of the forum and Lagos APC chairman, reiterated their solidarity with Ganduje, emphasizing their commitment to defend him against external challenges.
Ojelabi stated, “We are here to let you know that you’re the captain of the ship. We are also your foot soldiers in the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and FCT.”
He commended Ganduje’s leadership and the National Working Committee’s support, underscoring the importance of unity and progress within the party.
In response, Ganduje appreciated the support from the state chairmen, attributing the alleged suspension to political maneuvers orchestrated by the New Nigeria People’s Party and Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf.
He likened the unfolding events to a scene from “Africa Magic,” expressing his resolve to continue leading the party towards growth and unity.
