APGA Applauds Supreme Court for Affirming Ezeokenwa as National Chairman

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has praised the Supreme Court for affirming Sly Ezeokenwa as the party’s National Chairman, describing the decision as a victory for justice and the rule of law.

In a press statement on Wednesday, APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, commended the judiciary for resolving the leadership dispute that has long plagued the party.

“This landmark decision is a testament to the judiciary’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice is served,” Opara stated.

The ruling reaffirmed that Chief Victor Oye was the rightful National Chairman prior to Ezeokenwa’s emergence and clarified that the 2021 Supreme Court judgment did not recognize Edozie Njoku as the party’s leader. The court also deemed the suit filed by Njoku’s proxies an abuse of judicial processes and imposed a fine of ₦20 million against him for each of the three appeals, totaling ₦60 million.

APGA expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, for leading the decision that reinforced public trust in the judiciary.

The party also thanked its National Leader, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for his unwavering support, as well as the Board of Trustees and National Working Committee for their resilience during turbulent times.

“This ruling not only restores clarity to our leadership structure but serves as a reminder that justice may be delayed but cannot be denied,” the statement concluded.

APGA pledged to focus on uniting its members and advancing its agenda for good governance and progressive leadership.
