The State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, has expressed confidence that the significant projects completed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo will secure a landslide victory for the party in the forthcoming local government elections.
Speaking to journalists in Awka, Chief Obi-Okoye praised Governor Soludo for fulfilling his promise to conduct local government elections, highlighting the importance of these elections in demonstrating APGA’s capability to win next year’s Anambra governorship election.
Chief Obi-Okoye emphasized that local government elections are a crucial mechanism for delivering the benefits of good governance to the grassroots. He noted that Governor Soludo’s achievements in infrastructure, human capital development, health, and education would be pivotal in securing victory for APGA.
He further stated that in just two and a half years of Governor Soludo’s administration, Anambra State has witnessed unprecedented development. He particularly lauded the Governor’s sustainable approach to youth empowerment through the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative, which has already had a positive impact on the lives of many young people.
Chief Obi-Okoye also revealed that the second phase of the “One Youth, Two Skills” program, which Governor Soludo recently inaugurated, aims to train 8,000 youths in various vocations. He added that the Governor’s “Farm to Feed” project would play a significant role in eradicating hunger and poverty across the state.
