APGA Mobilizes Support as Chiekezie Hosts Party Candidates Ahead of LG Election

In a display of political solidarity, APGA stakeholder and leader of Ochendo Vanguard for Soludo, Chief Inno-Poch Chiekezie, hosted the party’s chairmanship candidate, Comrade Rome Ibekwe, along with councilorship candidates, ahead of the upcoming local government elections. The event took place in Ichida, Anaocha Local Government Area, and aimed to rally support for APGA in Saturday’s polls.

Ochendo Vanguard for Soludo, a grassroots political group committed to promoting the ideals of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration, organized the event to strengthen the party’s presence in the local elections. The group’s efforts are focused on ensuring a sweep of votes across all wards in Anaocha LGA.

Key APGA stakeholders and government officials were present, with many emphasizing the importance of extending good governance, as demonstrated by the Soludo administration, to the local level. Barrister Joachin Anetoh, Principal Secretary to the Governor, praised Chief Chiekezie’s dedication to promoting the governor’s achievements and urged the electorate to support APGA’s candidates, particularly Comrade Ibekwe, in Saturday’s election.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, highlighted the administration’s impact on local communities, citing the rehabilitation of Primary Health Centers across the state’s 326 wards, including those in Ichida. This, he said, guarantees accessible and affordable healthcare for Ndi Anambra.

Former National Assembly member, Chief Dozie Nwankwo, and Governor Soludo’s Political Adviser, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, also commended Chief Chiekezie’s efforts through the Ochendo Vanguard, describing APGA’s candidates as well-chosen to bring governance closer to the people.

Chief Chiekezie expressed his commitment to ensuring the success of APGA’s candidates in Ichida and appealed to the community to vote for the party, stating that it remains the best path for grassroots development.

Comrade Ibekwe, while thanking the community for their support, detailed his achievements, including a youth empowerment program benefiting 500 individuals, and urged the people of Anaocha to vote for APGA in the upcoming election.

The event was attended by notable figures including the Chairman of the Anambra State Sports Development Commission, Mr. Patrick Onyedum, and the Managing Director of the Anambra State Urban Water Asset Holdings Corporation, Engineer Ikeobi Ejiofor, among others.
