Njikoka Local Government Area’s stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) recently convened a “Super Stakeholder and Friends Summit” in Enugu-Ukwu. The event also marked the launch of a N30 million fund aimed at bolstering the party’s activities and support.
Pharmacist Chinedu Anekwe, APGA Chairman for Njikoka Local Government Area, explained that the summit was designed to unite party members and facilitate the exchange of ideas to advance the party’s objectives. He emphasized that, following their third-place finish in the last governorship election, the local government is committed to securing the top position in the upcoming state elections. The newly launched fund is intended to strengthen the party’s efforts in Njikoka.
Former federal lawmaker and APGA candidate for the Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 2023 election, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, highlighted the importance of the summit in coordinating the party’s future election strategies. He affirmed APGA Njikoka’s readiness to ensure Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election for a second term.
Hon. Nwankwo also praised the recent accolade awarded to Governor Soludo by Champion Newspapers, recognizing him as the 2023 Governor of the Year for Infrastructure and Rural Development, citing the governor’s exceptional performance in office.
Additionally, Hon. Jude Akpua, member representing Njikoka Two Constituency in the State House of Assembly, stated that the fundraising efforts are aimed at supporting empowerment initiatives, future meetings, and other party needs. He expressed confidence in building a robust APGA presence in Njikoka Local Government Area.
