The inaugural stakeholders’ summit of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anaocha Local Government Area concluded with a call for unity and a collective ideology to support the Solution Agenda 2025. The event gathered prominent government officials, traditional rulers led by Igwe Christopher Okpala of Akwaeze, and other influential figures committed to the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The summit highlighted Governor Soludo’s notable achievements and his delivery of significant results to the electorate within his first two years in office. Chief Joachin Anaetoh, Principal Secretary to the Governor, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the APGA government’s efforts to bring governance directly to the people, enhancing lives and developing the state’s economy.
Chief Anaetoh praised Governor Soludo’s transformation of Anambra into a business hub and appealed to Ndi Anaocha for continued support. He announced the upcoming award of the Nne-Ogidi-Agulu-Nwagu-Neni-Adazi road project, reaffirming the governor’s commitment to the community.
Igwe Okpala called for unity and condemned divisive behaviors such as gossip and backbiting, stressing that only through solidarity can they sustain the governor’s progressive governance and uphold the state’s zoning arrangement.
Chief Inno-Posh Chikezie, Chairman of the summit, expressed hope that the event would reconcile all aggrieved parties and promote peace and togetherness in Anaocha. He urged everyone to forgive past grievances and unite under the APGA and Solution Agenda banner.
Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Uju Nwogu, spoke on the summit’s theme, “Governance and the People: Duty of the Political Party at the Grassroots.” She highlighted the importance of political parties in promoting members’ interests, educating on electoral processes, and producing effective leaders, as exemplified by Governor Soludo.
APGA Anaocha Chairman, Chief Sir Anthony Ugorji, extended gratitude to Governor Soludo for his support and initiatives in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare. He announced the empowerment of 19 individuals from Anaocha’s 19 wards to start small businesses and honored past ward chairmen for their contributions to the party’s grassroots success.
Comrade Rome Ibekwe, Secretary of the summit’s planning committee, noted the summit’s success in demonstrating Governor Soludo’s impact and reaffirmed Anaocha’s support for APGA in the upcoming election. The event also featured the defection of members from other parties to APGA and the presentation of awards to distinguished APGA and Anaocha contributors.
