The Honourable member representing Njikoka 1 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Ibemeka, has successfully enrolled over 200 people into the state health insurance scheme in the first batch of the exercise. The target is to enroll fifty people per ward across all eight wards of Njikoka 1 state constituency.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Anthony Chidi Icheku, the coordinator, emphasized Hon. Chidi Ibemeka’s commitment to promoting quality health choices within the Njikoka community. He stressed the importance of health insurance in ensuring access to quality healthcare services at minimal cost.
Mrs. Nneoma Anoliefo and Mr. Izuchukwu Ogbaji, representing the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, educated the various wards on the comprehensive benefits of the scheme and its role in providing financial protection against high medical costs. They further urged the newly enrolled beneficiaries to consistently seek quality treatment from their chosen healthcare facilities and avoid diagnoses from unlicensed medical practitioners.
Pastor Nwalie Matthew, an indigene of Enugu-Ukwu in the Njikoka 1 constituency, thanked Hon. Chidi Ibemeka for prioritizing the health and well-being of the constituents. He offered prayers and best wishes for his continued success.
