Awka North Transition Chairman Pledges Healthcare Prioritization for Constituents

Comrade ThankGod Anago, the Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to providing free basic medical services to the residents of the council area.

During the launch of the Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers, organized in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Anambra State, Comrade Anago emphasized his administration’s unwavering commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of the people, particularly those residing in rural areas who may struggle to access medical services due to financial constraints.

Speaking at the event held at the Primary Healthcare Center in Mgbakwu, Comrade Anago highlighted the importance of ensuring that healthcare services are readily available and accessible to all residents, regardless of their socio-economic status.

Mrs. Blessing Iruma, the NYSC Coordinator in Anambra State, lauded Comrade Anago for spearheading the initiative, which encompassed health advocacy, diagnosis, prescription, and treatment. The program benefited men, women, and children from various communities within the Awka North Local Government Area.

This initiative builds upon Comrade Anago’s previous efforts, as he had previously organized similar free medical outreaches in Achalla, Ebenebe, and Mgbakwu communities. His ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access underscores his dedication to the well-being of his constituents.
