Ayra Starr Condemns Brutal Murder of FUNAAB Student, Calls for Justice

Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr has condemned the brutal murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Christianah was allegedly killed by Ayomide Adeleye, a suspected serial killer and former friend.

In a powerful statement on her official X page, Ayra Starr denounced the violence and called for swift justice for Christianah. “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah,” Starr wrote, highlighting the urgent need to address violence against women.

The ongoing investigation revealed that Adeleye, who was close to Christianah, kidnapped, murdered, and buried her body on his property. Further inquiries have linked Adeleye to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend in 2018 and his sister in 2020.

Ayra Starr’s statement adds to the growing call for justice and greater protection for women.
