Reality TV star and actress Bamike Olawunmi, known as Bambam, has opened up about her harrowing childbirth experience.
In a recent episode of the ‘Me & My Girls’ podcast, Bambam revealed that during the birth of her first child, Zendaya, in 2020, her kidney failed, and her liver and other vital organs began to shut down.
She attributed many stillbirths to negligence, citing cases where doctors and nurses failed to act promptly. She recounted that her daughter had detached from the placenta and would have suffered oxygen loss if she had arrived at the hospital a second later.
“Every time I look at her, I just say, ‘What if…?’ The what-ifs tormented me for a while. I had to seek therapy to help me embrace gratitude,” she shared.
Bambam and her husband, Teddy A, welcomed their daughter a year after their wedding.
